Eidolon, the KWPN stallion is back home! On his old days, we most likely wont be showing him, but he still got it!
Been lot hunting in different areas and I'm now leaning on Sepia River or Rinn Fada. Once I decide, we will start building our new facilities there as our current space isn't enough for what I have planned on.
In this picture you see two besties enjoying the pastures at Sepia River; our only grey Hanoverian mares Saphira and yet unnamed fleabitten beauty. It's been years since IEQ was truly active again, but here we are again! I am Evangeline Kane's grand daughter Emily Kane and I'm now the owner of Illusion Equestrian. It's gonna take some time before I get things properly up and running but it'll be worth it :) Me (Emily Kane) and VRH Don Royale, who's the great grandson of Don Rigoletto, Donnerkonig. His lines also include some excellent Whitebrook lines (WEC Tanqueray and Tonic, WEC Tonight We Tanqueray). Imported Palomino Oldenburg mare Laurenzia Imported Hanoverian Stallion "Di Caprio" Don Royale Imported Chestnut Hanoverian mare "Evanescence" We have many other new additions that I will introduce as soon as I can :) If not here, then in their profiles somewhere on this site. Sadly I'm experiencing this grey ear bug, so All my horse's ears look weird for now.. Somewhere, somewhere This year started excellently when our homebred stallion VRH Donnerprinz won his second community show (Dressage) and therefore gained 10 points in the leaderboards so I can now proudly say he gained the title: League of Achievement! (it's not official yet since scores aren't updated).
I'm so proud of my boy... but today not so much since that goofball hurt himself pretty badly while earning his well-reserved break in his paddock... I'm SO glad it didn't leave any permanent damage but he will be lame for a while so I have to keep him off the shows whole year to let him heal properly... Bhah, I was so looking forward to enter him into more shows, he and Jake (his rider) are a perfect match :D This isn't the only bad news in the farm... Don Allegro was suffering from severe colic and for a while we thought he would be lost but luckily that wasn't the case. Don Rigoletto's son wouldn't let some colic get to him in such a young age! :) My only thoroughbred mare Before The Dawn developed Skin Abcess from a tiny wound he got when my daughter went to some trail riding with her. Luckily it's not serious but she had small fever that went down pretty quickly after the vet described some antibiotics. She's recovering well but I'm not going to breed her this year. I hope rest of the year will go well. Writing more in the end of the year hopefully. And I have a huge amount of outside mares coming to meet my stallions so I have to rush and get everything ready for them :) Horse Life Generator - V2.1 http://mapal.deviantart.com/gallery/37252856#/d48ig48 Horse Life Generator - V1.4 http://mapal.deviantart.com/gallery/37252856#/d39tdi8 From now on, I'm using these two generators to add some realism to my game. It decides what happens to my horses (if something happens) during the year. I use v1.4 to calculate the result of breedings and trainings because that feature doesn't yet work with the newer version. I'm aiming to put an update to this stable blog at least once a year (irl month). To Breeders - I will make "your" horses immortal, so nothing fatal will happen to them. To the point... It's been busy year in Illusion Equestrian. We are currently building the new facilities and even sold a foal crop and our web site is under construction as well. Few new additions has arrived to our farm as well and our horses and riders have done wonderfully in the show rings. VRH Donnerprinz (Donnerkonig x Baroness) was entered in his first dressage and 3-day Eventing competition. He did really well but I don't know the placements yet because the competitions are still running. He's progressing really well and already won and placed in several showjumping and cross-country shows. IEQ Shania gained the title League of Achievement by winning her second Halter Show, but it's not yet official because the final points aren't there yet. Manhattan placed in a Grand Prix Jumping show. Oh and Flammentanz was the Supreme Champion in Aherne Marwin Show and VRH Don Larghetto was second in his class. A Wonderful show year :) Delanie is moving to Varberg Stall along Baroness sometime soon. New foals have arrived ,including still nameless (argh, he needs a perfect name) Arabian colt from Shania... I will introduce him properly later. Sad Things...
Nothing else this bad happened but I was really worried for ILA January Velvet for a while because she suffered from severe colic. I'm so happy that she survived and is recovering. This happened just after her this year's foal was weaned and sold. Somehow she managed to find her way into our feed room. I'm letting her recover properly and she wont be bred for next year's foal.
And oh dung those stupid boys... Flammentanz and Manhattan were in paddocks close to each other (not in the same one though). Well for some reason they both decided to try to escape and both ended up getting small injuries from the fencing while trying to break free... Nothing even close to serious luckily but that made Baroness crazy (since she was in heat) even though she was further away from the boys... and she got deep cuts from her own paddock fencing, luckily the other girls staying in the same paddock weren't too close. Well, even though we took good care of her wounds, the wounds got infected and she was really sick for a while. I'm so happy that she got better but I think she never gets rid of those scars. So nice to sell a injured horse to Lena Varberg.. agh. But she's a horse owner too, I'm sure she understands. I hope we get our facilities renovated and built asap. I'm tired of these funky arrangements. VRH Seventh Heaven arrived to our new facilities today and I introduced her to my new black Hano mare Sienna. The introduction went well and looked like they bonded immediately! They even started goofing around and playing with each other... At the same evening I went to look at the mares again since my husband said I really should take a look on Heaven and this is what I saw...
I took a look at her leg and she has a tendon injury... meaning her showing career is over, at least for a big while. Poor mare...
Depending how her injury develops, I might take this as a opportunity to breed her. I wasn't going to do that until after her showing days were over but since she can't be even ridden in a while I might just as well breed her to Don Allegro. The site isn't yet done but I'm working on it whenever I feel like it and I have time :) I hope it'll be finished in this month :DD
We have many new additions and Summer foal crop is on the way, I hope to publish it within a week or two. None of the babies have actually born yet... VRH/KSH Elijah moved to the training facilities some time ago and he's absolutely stunning 3 years old! I didnt have time to take any pics of him yet but he looks so beautiful. Renaissance is now officially up for stud too :) |
