This year started excellently when our homebred stallion VRH Donnerprinz won his second community show (Dressage) and therefore gained 10 points in the leaderboards so I can now proudly say he gained the title: League of Achievement! (it's not official yet since scores aren't updated).
I'm so proud of my boy... but today not so much since that goofball hurt himself pretty badly while earning his well-reserved break in his paddock... I'm SO glad it didn't leave any permanent damage but he will be lame for a while so I have to keep him off the shows whole year to let him heal properly... Bhah, I was so looking forward to enter him into more shows, he and Jake (his rider) are a perfect match :D
This isn't the only bad news in the farm... Don Allegro was suffering from severe colic and for a while we thought he would be lost but luckily that wasn't the case. Don Rigoletto's son wouldn't let some colic get to him in such a young age! :)
My only thoroughbred mare Before The Dawn developed Skin Abcess from a tiny wound he got when my daughter went to some trail riding with her. Luckily it's not serious but she had small fever that went down pretty quickly after the vet described some antibiotics. She's recovering well but I'm not going to breed her this year.
I hope rest of the year will go well. Writing more in the end of the year hopefully. And I have a huge amount of outside mares coming to meet my stallions so I have to rush and get everything ready for them :)
